Japanese Day in the Průhonice Botanical Garden 2024
The 15th annual Japanese Day in the Průhonice Botanical Garden, enriching program, ikebana, Japanese street food, workshops, vendors and a competition for the best yokai mask!

10:00 – 10:45 Yōkai parade and the best mask contest
10:45 – 11:15 Opening ceremony of the 15th annual Japanese Day
11:30 – 12:30 Prague Sogetsu Study Group: presentation and ikebana workshop
12:00 – 12:20 Vlastislav Matoušek: shakuhachi bamboo flute performance
12:30 – 13:00 Children’s Studio of the Kyogen Theatre
13:05 – 13:35 Dance performance of the Yosakoi Hanamaru group

14:45 – 15:15 Katka Soustružníková: launch of a haiku double-collection ‘The Titmouse’

How to apply for the IKEBANA workshops: (All groups are FULLY BOOKED, thank you 🙂 )
– email the number of participants and their full name, as well as the desired time slot (9.30~ or 11.30~) to info@japan.cz until the 5th of September.
Fee: 250 CZK per person. Shall be paid in advance by transfer, we will send the banking information by email. Maximum number of participants: 10 per group
