New Year Concert

The New Year Concert has been one of the traditional projects of the Czech-Japanese Association since 2008, bringing Czech and Japanese musicians together to celebrate the beginning of the new year through music.

The concert features Czech and Japanese performers, particularly young musicians and music students, creating an opportunity not only to perform, but also to meet and share their musical experience across cultures.

Originally held at Prague’s Lucerna, the concert eventually outgrew the venue and moved to the Prague Conservatory, where it is currently held.

The programme changes every year, while its main idea remains the same: connecting Czech and Japanese people through music and personal encounters.
